Prior to completing his gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship training at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ, Dr. Parikh completed his residency in internal medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He received his medical degree from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ, and graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in biology.
Dr. Parikh has presented research at many national gastroenterology conferences and coauthored several peer-reviewed publications in recognized medical journals. He credits his clinical training, which involved treating patients from a variety of social and economic backgrounds, for helping him develop the effective communication skills that are essential to providing excellent patient-centered care.
