Dr. Alexander Perelman is a board-certified gastroenterologist with extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of digestive disorders. He earned his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital. He went on to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Dr. Perelman has held academic appointments at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. His clinical practice has included work with Vanguard Gastroenterology and NYU Langone Health.
An active contributor to professional societies, Dr. Perelman serves on the American College of Gastroenterology’s Professionalism Committee and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy’s Social Media Task Force. He is a recognized educator and published author on topics ranging from GERD and eosinophilic esophagitis to the role of digital tools in GI practice.
