Benjamin L. Biederman, MD
Dr. Benjamin Biederman joins us from New York University Grossman School of Medicine, where he completed his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology. Driven into the field by a close family member with a gastrointestinal illness, Dr. Biederman is passionate about providing the most empathetic, personalized, and attentive care to his patients.
Dr. Biederman will begin seeing patients here at GANJ starting October 1, 2025.
Education & Training
Dr. Biederman earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in Durham, NC. He then received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He completed his internal medicine residency at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, NY, where he served as an assistant chief resident and then went on to complete his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at New York University.
Awards & Recognition
Dr. Biederman was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society in medical school. Throughout his career, he has given multiple poster presentations, oral presentations, and lectures on gastrointestinal diseases and has contributed to the medical literature. His commitment to teaching also led him to curriculum development and research in the field of medical education.
Dr. Biederman was a finalist for the David E. Rogers Memorial Research Award during residency and received the Rocket Award for Exceptionalism acknowledging his professionalism, teamwork, and dedication to patient care during fellowship.
