George N. Pavlou, MD

One of its founding physicians, Dr. George N. Pavlou is president and CEO of  Gastroenterology Associates of New Jersey (GANJ). He is dual board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Education & Training

After earning a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering from Boston University, Boston, MA, Dr. Pavlou received his medical degree from St. George’s University.  He completed a gastroenterology fellowship and an internal medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. 

In addition to his position at GANJ, Dr. Pavlou was a clinical instructor at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, a teaching attending at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. He was also on the medical board of St. Joseph’s Hospital for over 20 years.

Dr. Pavlou is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
